Occupational Therapist (OT) / Psychosocial Occupational Therapist
Would you like to form part of a progressive and successful Occupational Therapy practice (est. 2018) based in Maroochydore? We are currently looking for an Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our growing team of amazing Occupational Therapists and therapy assistants.
Minerva Allied Health Services has been providing high quality specialised services for clients predominately with psychosocial disabilities since 2018. We specialise in working with both adults and children with various mental health diagnoses, neurodivergent disorders, intellectual disabilities ect.
Experienced mental health Occupational Therapists preferred but not required.
New graduates with an interest in psychosocial disabilities are welcome to apply.

A supportive workplace consisting of occupational therapists, therapy assistants, admin support and a business manager. Administration support is provided onsite during office hours to alleviate the time-consuming processes, enabling clinicians to focus on service delivery.

Highly competitive hourly rate + paid non-billable work + super, and a payable bonus structure system. All staff are paid above award rate.

Flexible working arrangements are available. We are looking for full-time, part-time (16-36 hours a week) or casual employees. Casual employees and part-time employees have the opportunity to increase hours in the future to full-time.

Personalised caseloads specific to your skill set e.g. mixed caseloads or specific caseloads consisting mostly of complex mental health, neurodivergent, children, teenagers, adults.

Comprehensive clinical supervision (during work hours) and support from our experienced Minerva occupational therapists. Frequency dependent on experience, new graduates are put through the new graduate program with weekly formal supervision and access to informal supervision at hoc.

Access to Minerva Educate for further professional development training. Additionally, clinical practice supervision provided by senior staff and a Performance Appraisal and Development (PAD) process with the Minerva Director with over 25 years experience as a practicing occupational therapist.

Opportunity to provide services to clients in outreach regions with rural trips including Gladstone, Bundaberg and the Wide Bay area. (OT's wishing to work in these rural areas casual/part-time/full-time are also welcome to apply).

Opportunity to run small scale occupational therapy groups in one of our 4 spacious, modern clinic rooms with plenty of room.

Company car and computer/tablet (full time employees and part-time employees working 30+ hours). All part-time employees can have access to a work car for rural trips.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
-
Deliver client-centred, recovery-oriented mental health occupational therapy services as a member of a dynamic occupational therapy team. Services to NDIS participants including within forensic settings, Medicare/Child Safety/DVA referrals and private fee-paying clients.

Complete and deliver comprehensive psychosocial occupational therapy assessment reports as required by the referrer on appropriate Minerva approved templates.

Deliver ongoing therapy and other tasks commensurate with level of experience in accordance with established clinical and departmental protocols, and under clinical practice supervision.

Provide input into the development and promotion of the Minerva Occupational Therapy role, including clinical practices, procedures, and protocols.

Develop clinical practice knowledge and expertise through self-directed learning, active learning within the team, and by engaging in professional development activities.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Appointment to this position requires proof of a tertiary qualification in occupational therapy and registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Authority (AHPRA). Certified copies of relevant qualifications and registration must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.

Must have a current open driver's licence.

Hold or must be able to obtain a current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.

Have current CPR and First Aid certificates
