Job Description
This position is vital to empowering our clients through assessment, management, and support services, the Occupational Therapist will work as part Bullinah’s multidisciplinary team to provide culturally safe Occupational Therapy services to both children and adults in our catchment area, some of whom will be NDIS clients.
- Work with paediatric and adult clients to provide culturally safe, client centred, high quality Occupational Therapy assessment, intervention, planning, support, and follow-up in line with best practice guidelines
- Develop service level agreements, reports, plans, and other required documentation for NDIS participants accessing Occupational Therapy

- Liaise with Bullinah’s NDIS project lead regarding the development of our NDIS services
- Actively work to maximise revenue generated through both the NDIS and Medicare for services provided
- Accurately record all client and consultation information within relevant patient information management systems
- Maintain registration with AHPRA and other relevant professional bodies, ensuring compliance with continuing professional development requirements
- Complete statistical reports for relevant funding bodies as required
- Ensure integrated service delivery and follow-up through case discussions with relevant internal and external providers
- Comply with Bullinah’s Code of Conduct, Policies and Procedures at all times
- Other reasonable duties as requested by management
ESSENTIAL
- Unrestricted AHPRA Registration as an Occupational Therapist
- Ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People and people with disabilities
- Demonstrated experience in providing Occupational Therapy services to children and adults, including complex cases
- Highly developed communication, interpersonal, planning and organisational skills;
- Demonstrated ability to work in a client centred, integrated primary health care setting
- Demonstrated competence in the use of information technology including patient information management systems, outlook, word, excel, and other software packages.
- Ability to obtain a Medicare provider number for Bullinah’s location
- Professional indemnity and public liability insurances

Requirements
- Degree in Occupational Therapy and AHPRA registration.
- At least 2 years’ experience delivering OT services to adults and children.
- Understanding of NDIS frameworks and Medicare-funded therapy.
- A genuine commitment to Aboriginal health.
- NSW Driver’s Licence, Police Check, Working With Children Check, First Aid/CPR.
