We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist. We are seeking applications for a part time OT (Grade 2) position in the Adult Occupational Therapy team within the Primary Health and Sub Acute Services. This role is a 12-month fixed term appointment.

About the team

The Primary Health team provides a variety of Allied Health services - including Podiatry, Dietetics, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology and Mental Health - across all Bellarine Community Health sites. The Adult Occupational Therapy team works as part of this passionate multidisciplinary service to provide a comprehensive level of care to a variety of client demographics and funding streams, both in clinic and home settings.

About the role

The Occupational Therapist (Grade 2) role offers some exciting opportunities for the right candidate, including:

  • Joining an established and very well-regarded service

  • Providing holistic and evidence-based care to adults aged 25 years and over in a community setting

  • Offering high quality services to clients with a range of diagnoses

  • Assessments including:

    • Mobility and home assessment including environmental modification

    • Equipment prescription

    • Cognitive and functional assessment

    • Community Access

  • Supporting clients across a wide variety of funding streams

  • Completing funding applications and reports to appropriate agencies

  • Developing client centred goals and liaise with clients and carers to develop care plans.

We would like to hear from you, if you have…

  • Tertiary Occupational Therapy qualifications and registration with AHPRA.

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience within Community Health or similar.

  • Knowledge and demonstrated commitment to services deliver reflecting person-centered care.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of CQI processes with a community-based context.

  • Working knowledge of electronic data bases, recording statistics for compliance with funded targets.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to build positive relationships.
