What You Will Be Doing
The graduates across the program will be supported by a structured education program, individualised learning plan and weekly supervision via 1:1 and peer models. Occupational Therapy graduates will also have opportunities to participate in project / portfolio work and support in the supervision of occupational therapy students. This is a twelve-month contact commencing 9th February 2026, which aims to develop the successful applicant to be ready to apply for permanent ongoing positions in mental health.

Requirements
We anticipate you will:
- Have an approved degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia (via AHPRA).
- Have a sound knowledge and interest in the provision of occupational therapy services to people with mental health issues.
- Have the ability to assess occupational performance considering physical, cognitive and psychosocial aspects of the person and their environment and determine appropriate intervention in a mental health setting.
- Have the ability to monitor your own performance.
- Take an organised and methodical approach to the prioritization of tasks and regularly plans and tracks progress.

*Please refer to salary circular for VICTORIAN PUBLIC MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES ENTERPRISE AGREEMENT 2020-2024 for salary range. Sub-grading will be based on years of experience. It is strongly recommended that individuals in this role remain up to date with their COVID-19 vaccinations.
