Job Description
A unique opportunity exists for an Occupational Therapist with an interest in acute care and spinal cord injuries to join the RNSH Occupational Therapy team.
Employment Type: Full Time Temporary until 17 November 2026 (with the possibility of ongoing employment)

Remuneration: $37.03 - $52.83 per hour

Occupational Therapy Department RNSH St Leonards
What you'll be doing
This position will initially start in the acute spinal cord injuries unit. This service includes a 17-bed ward with additional ICU beds, a spinal plastics outpatient service and provides services to persons with spinal cord injuries from all across the state of NSW. There is also opportunity for rotation into other areas in the department such as acute care with this role positioned within the broader Occupational Therapy Department, RNSH.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage workload demands, meet deadlines and complete activities (including ability to work within scope of practice and seek assistance when required).
- Demonstrate skills and knowledge in the provision of Occupational Therapy service to consumers, carers and families requiring assessment, environmental modifications, home modifications, appropriate referral and discharge planning.
- Commitment to participation in professional development, quality improvement activities and workplace education.
