Occupational Therapist - Senior (Mental Health Consultation Liaison Clinician Headspace)

Location:  Child & Youth Mental Health Service, Wide Bay Mental Health & Specialised Services, Bundaberg Hospital

Remuneration:

You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $82,106 p.a., comprising salary rates $66.85 - $72.58 p.h. (Nurse Grade 7), or remuneration package value up to $78,680 p.a., comprising salary rates $64.64 - $69.55 p.h. (HP4), employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 7/HP4) (Permanent Part Time, 38 hours p.f., and Temporary Part Time Positions, 38 hours p.f., from date of appointment for 6 months with the possibility of extension. (Applications will remain current for 12 months). 

Your opportunity:

The Mental Health (MH) Consultation Liaison (CL) (headspace) position will:

Work collaboratively with headspace to support a seamless service experience for adolescents and young adults (12-25 years) with Mental Health and Specialised Services (MHSS) needs, accessing headspace services, consistent with a no wrong door policy and providing the right service at the right time.

Maximise clinician availability and build essential relationships by being physically co-located with headspace, as much as is practical.

Provide an important bridge to the broader state health system to improve access and decrease transitional service gaps.

Establish or embed a dedicated capacity for MHSS clinicians to work across the historical service boundary between child and youth mental health services and adult mental health services.
