Job Description
Occupational Therapist – Do Work That Actually Matters
About Us: Elk Health delivers exceptional client-centred occupational therapy across Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast, Port Stephens and Maitland. We don't just provide therapy – we walk the pathway with our clients, empowering them to live with independence and purpose.
Why We're Different: We know not all OT jobs are created equal. Some feel like a grind. Some feel like you're left floating with no support. We're aiming for the sweet spot – meaningful work, real flexibility, and a team that trusts you to get on with it.
-
Outcomes over output – Our KPIs focus on client outcomes, not how much you can squeeze into a day
-
Genuine administrative support – Allied health assistants and admin staff handle the paperwork so you can focus on therapy
-
Real flexibility that fits – Full-time or part-time, with hybrid working. Shape your day around your clients and your life
-
Support that matches your experience – Monthly clinical supervision, regular in-house clinical education, and consistent team catch-ups. You'll feel confident from day one and well-supported ongoing
-
Immediate senior therapist access – Support when you need it, not when it suits a roster
The Role: We're seeking Occupational Therapists (full-time or part-time) who are passionate about person-centred care and want a sustainable career without the burnout. Our diverse caseload including DVA, aged care, CTP and Lifetime Care means you'll work with adults, adapting as their needs change, and discovering new possibilities together.
Who We're Looking For:
We want someone who is self-motivated and self-directed, treats client goals like personal missions, embraces feedback and learning, works collaboratively, and values accountability. You don't need to know everything yet – whether you're experienced, new graduate or peads OT looking for a change, we're here to support your growth. We're looking for people who bring energy, commitment, and a genuine desire to make a difference.
Of course, you'll need your AHPRA registration, a driver's licence and vehicle, and full Australian working rights to go with it.
What You'll Get:
-
Professional development opportunities
-
Modern software systems and therapy resources
-
Career growth through diverse experience
-
A team environment designed to prevent burnout
-
Hybrid working flexibility
